Please feel free to use the email links provided on the counselor's names above to contact your child's counselor or call the Counseling Office at 799-1450 x 4300 for further assistance.
Registration for classes is in the spring. We will meet with every student individually to discuss course selections.
You may schedule a conference with one or all of your child's teachers by phoning the counselors' secretary, Diane Wallner, at 799-1450, ext 4300. Please note that conferences are only held at 1:30 in the afternoon. Every effort will be made to schedule your conference in a timely manner. However, if you have time constraints or need to hear from a teacher as soon as possible, it is bet to communicate through e-mail or set up a phone conference. Although not required, it is a good idea to have your child present at conferences.Much of the information given during conferences can now be found by using ParentLink. ParentLink contains information about your child's grades, attendance, report cards, progress reports, and graduation requirements. You may find out who your child's teachers are and email them through the site. The Advanced Placement program provides motivated high school students with the opportunity to take college-level courses in the supportive environment of a high school setting. This program is specifically designed for students who are willing to accept the challenge of a rigorous academic curriculum. Students not only gain college-level skills, but may also earn credit, advanced placement, or both for college. The AP Exam sends a powerful message to colleges and universities that the student is ready for a college level curriculum. - Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Explorers program gives young men and women a hands-on chance to determine if they want to pursue a career in law enforcement.
- The Las Vegas Fire and Rescue Explorers program provides the opportunity for high school students and college students to become familiar with career opportunities available in the fire service.
