Scholarship Opportunities
All scholarship have application deadlines that must be met.
Share your good news!
Seniors, please bring a copy of all of your college admissions letters and scholarship awards to Ms. Dambro or Mr. Ivers in the Counseling Office. We keep track of the colleges our students have been accepted to as well as all of the scholarships awarded. Your good news will be shared at Awards Night and at Graduation. Deadline is April 6, 2018.
Heaven Akmal Memorial Scholarship
Heaven was a 2017 graduate of Palo Verde and was devoted to theater. Seniors who have completed 6 semesters of theater and who have a 3.0 are encouraged to apply for this scholarship. See attached for application instructions. Deadline is April 13, 2018.
Summerlin Children's Forum Scholarship
Seniors who are residents of Summerlin, have participated in community service projects, and have an unweighted GPA of 3.3 are encouraged to apply for this $4,000 scholarship. Three scholarships will be awarded to outstanding seniors. See Ms. Dambro in the Counseling Office for the application. Deadline is May 25, 2018.
Silver State Schools Credit Union Scholarship
The SSSCU Scholarship recognizes seniors who demonstrate outstanding leadership, community service, and academic achievement. Applicants must be members of the SSSCU. Scholarships are renewable up to $8000. Please see attached documents for information and the application. Deadline is March 22, 2018.
UNLV Englestad Scholars
This scholarship is for students who plan to attend UNLV, have earned at least a 3.25 unweighted cumulative gpa, and demonstrate financial need. The scholarship is worth up to $20,000. Click the link below for more information and to apply. Priority Deadline is March 1, 2018.
